
Horned Frogs Fall at Baylor

TCU now 1-1 in Big 12 play
WACO, Texas – The fourth-ranked TCU equestrian program fell 14-6 at Baylor in Big 12 action on Friday. Jacey Albaugh took home the lone Most Outstanding Performer honor for the Frogs on the day.

"We had many close rides today. I think this made some things clear to us where we need to get better. On the positive side, we showed some improvement from last meet as we were penalty free in some places, we have had penalties in the past. We got outridden in some places and in some places, we just had tough luck."
THE RUNDOWN
TCU kicked off action in Fences, where it fell 3-2. Sophomores Wynne Weatherly and Izzy Baxter earned the two points for the Frogs, tallying scores of 83 and 85. Alex Beneson was the high scorer of the event for the Frogs, earning a score of 86 on Petey, but falling by one point to Gia Gulino.
In Reining, Baylor took all five points awarded in the event. Carly Lombard was the high scorer of the event for TCU, riding to a 70 on Cherry. Two Frogs fell by margins of less than one, with Elena Hurd falling 69.5-69 and Claire Dittrich losing 69-68.5.
The indoor arena turned double-barreled as TCU and Baylor began Flat and Horsemanship where TCU fell 3-2 in both events.
In Flat, Jacey Albaugh took home the MOP, winning 86-84 on Teddy. Misty Redd took home the other Horned Frog point, marking an 82-77 on Z. Izzy Baxter also put together a solid performance, carding an 82 on Puzzle.
In Horsemanship, TCU did not record a score lower than 72. Jamie Cook and Anna Hauter were the highest scorers in the event and, fittingly, won both points for the Frogs. Cook recorded a 75 on Bentley, while Hauter marked a 74.5 on Gracie.
NOTES
* TCU falls to 0-3 when losing in Jumping Seat. The Frogs are 5-0 when winning the discipline.
* Anna Hauter improved to 4-0 in the victory.
* Hauter's 74.5 matches the second-best mark of the season.
* Jamie Cook recorded the second highest score of her season.
* Misty Redd advanced to 4-0 in Flat.
* Jacey Albaugh earned her first MOP of the season and the second of her career.
UP NEXT
TCU will return home where it will face Oklahoma State in the conclusion of the fall season. The Frogs and Cowgirls are set to get underway at 10 a.m. at Diamond Creek Ranch next Friday, Nov. 7.
