DIRECTOR OF EQUESTRIAN HALEY SCHOOLFIELD
"Today didn't go quite as anticipated. We had some mental mistakes and some tough luck. Being humbled a bit makes us want to hustle a bit harder and we will get right to that on Monday."
THE RUNDOWN
The Frogs kicked off the second half of the meet with Fences and Reining.
The Frogs got off to a slow start in Fences, only winning one point which came from captain Grace Upshaw, who tallied a 74-65 win on Otis. Izzy Baxter was the highest scoring Frog in the event, tabbing an 81 on Indy.
In Reining, TCU rode to a 2-2 split with the Aggies. The two points came from Josie Ferrante and Elena Hurd. Ferrante, who made her season debut, put together a very solid ride, taking down TAMU's Marissa Harrell by a half point, 70.5-70, on Marvin. Hurd tallied her third win of the young season, winning 69-68 on JD.
