Max Duggan rushes for 115 yards and a score in the defeat.
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Max Duggan became the first TCU quarterback to rush for 100-plus yards in a single game since 2015, but it wasn't enough as the Horned Frogs fell to Kansas State, 24-17, in Big 12 action Saturday afternoon at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
With TCU trailing 17-10, Duggan registered a season-long 46-yard run to find the end zone and notch things up at 17-17 with 8:42 left to play in the third quarter. Duggan had three carries for 72 yards and a 5-yard completion for 77 yards of offense on the 75-yard scoring drive.
Both offenses were limited for much of the next quarter and a half, but K-State's Skylar Thompson scored from three yards out with 2:45 left to play to put the Wildcats up 24-17.
Duggan finished the game with 115 yards on the ground, TCU's most rushing yards from a quarterback since Trevone Boykin tallied 124 yards at K-State in 2015.
Jalen Reagor registered season-highs in both catches (8) and receiving yards (85). Sewo Olonilua rushed for 56 yards and notched TCU's first touchdown of the day.
TCU put up 366 yards of total offense, which included 228 yards on the ground. It marked the fifth game this season that the Frogs have rushed for 200-plus yards as a team. The TCU defense limited K-State to just 266 yards of total offense in the game.
