TCU hosts a No. 1 ranked opponent for the first time in program history
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball embraces the opportunity of hosting No. 1 Baylor Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. inside The Rickel. Tickets are already sold out for the match as TCU looks for its first victory over a No. 1 ranked opponent. The match will be televised on FSSW+.
This is the first time in program history TCU will be hosting a No. 1 ranked opponent, the Horned Frogs are 0-2 all time against top-ranked teams. TCU opened the 2014 season on the road at No. 1 Penn State (August 29, 2014) after playing No. 1 Texas in Austin the season before (October, 30, 2013).

Last Match
-TCU is coming off its first conference win of the season, a 3-2 road triumph over Texas Tech last Sunday (10/6).
-Multiple Horned Frogs set career bests in the victory: Katie Clark, kills (21), Ashley Waggle, kills (19), attacks (46), Sarah Langs, blocks (10), kills (7), McKenzie Nichols, assists (59).
-Waggle is enjoying a career-defining stretch over her last three matches. The redshirt junior is averaging 3.17 kills/set in her last three matches. over half of her 65 kills this season have come in the last three matches (38).
-McKenzie Nichols was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week last week for her 11.38 assists/set
-Freshman Audrey Nalls had another strong game on the outside posting 13 kills with a .296 hitting percentage.
-Juniors Dani Dennison and Berklie Baker each led the team with 15 digs.
-TCU is now 2-1 in five set matches this season.
-The team hit only eight service errors across the five sets (1.6 errors/set) its lowest rate of the season. They did so while hitting six aces, the most yet in Big 12 play.

-After setting a new career high with 10 kills against K-State (Sept. 28), the Dripping Springs native delivered nine kills against Texas (Oct. 2) before breaking her career-high yet again against Texas Tech with 19 kills in Lubbock.
-She has now recorded 38 kills in her last three matches (12.67 per match) after averaging 3.2 kills per match in her previous 39 showings.
-She has recorded 23 percent of her career kills in her last three contests – 165 career kills.
-She entered conference play with a career-high of nine kills, a mark she met or surpassed in each of her last three matches (10 vs. K-State, 9 vs. Texas and 19 at Texas Tech).
Nalls Well That Ends Well
-Nalls leads all Big 12 freshman in kills per set (3.36) points (189.0) and points per set (3.78).
-She is seventh overall in the conference in kills per set and points per set through 14 matches.
-She set a career-high in hitting percentage, collecting 13 kills on 23 attacks (.391 hitting percentage). She finished the week with 26 kills on .340 hitting.
-Nalls is now averaging 3.0 kills and 2.0 digs per set in Big 12 play.
-The Waxahachie native has been the Horned Frogs primary offensive weapon all season as she leads the team in kills, attacks and points, playing all six rotations.
Nichols Drops Dimes
-Over the last two matches, McKenzie Nichols has taken over setting responsibilities with great success. Setting new career-bests in assist totals in each of her last two appearances (32 vs. Texas and 59 at TTU).
-She earned Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors after dropping 91 assists over the course of eight sets (11.38 assists/set).
-She delivered a career-best 59 assists in her last match, the sixth most assists by a freshman in a single match in program history, the most recorded by a freshman in the 25-point set, rally scoring era.

-Baylor leads the Big 12 in opponent's hitting percentage (.143), assists/set (13.68), kills/set (14.75) and blocks/set (2.65)
-Baylor is the only remaining unbeaten team in the country.
-The Bears are led by junior outside hitter Yossiana Pressley. She is averaging 5.85 kills/set - second best in the country - on .324 hitting.
