Sophomore earns first-career Big 12 honor
LUBBOCK, Texas – Sophomore forward Kouat Noi has been named the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
It was the first-career Big 12 award for Noi, who averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Frogs. The Newcastle, Australia native recorded 15 points and 11 rebounds for his first-career double-double in TCU's 65-61 win over Texas on Wednesday. Noi then scored 22 points and made three 3-pointers to lead TCU to a 55-50 win over Florida on Saturday.
Noi ranks ninth in the Big 12 with 14.7 points per game. He ranks third with 2.5 made 3-pointer per game and sixth in 3-point percentage at 40.4 percent.
Noi and the Frogs play at Texas Tech Monday at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
