Quotes from the Match
Head Coach David Roditi
"Today was another full day of competition which is exactly what we wanted and exactly what we need at this point. Mississippi State is a very good team and it is hard to know what to expect after the holidays. I assume not everyone is in top form including us. Since our goal is to compete and get ourselves mentally and physically ready for the season, then today was a big success. We won some good matches, we lost some good matches and most of our guys got to compete at a high level and that is what we wanted. The highlights today were that we saw a good level of play at No. 2 doubles by Reese (Stalder) and Bertus (Kruger) and (Alex) Rybakov being able to close out one of the top players in the nation and get a good win. This is what we wanted and we will take all the information gathered today and take care of our bodies and continue to improve and get ourselves as close to top form and be ready to start our season at Tulsa next Friday. That is where our mindset is."
