TCU will begin fall action by hosting the Big 5 Challenge for the second straight year.
FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis teams will kick-off the 2018 fall season this weekend as the team hosts the Big 5 Challenge from Sept. 20-23 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Horned Frogs will face off against players from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Georgia, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Virginia and Virginia Tech over the four days on the Bernard J. 'Tut' Bartzen Varsity Courts. Action will begin at 2 p.m., on Thursday with doubles matches and 8:30 a.m., on Friday with singles and doubles matches. The match times for Saturday and Sunday will be determined after the completion of the first round of matches. Admission is free all weekend to fans.
In the Oracle/ITA rankings that were recently released, senior Marie Norris and sophomore Aleksa Cveticanin each picked up singles rankings with the duo checking in at No. 101 and No. 102, respectively. The Horned Frogs return three letterwinners and welcome three newcomers to a squad that posted 13 wins last year and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Championship.
