
Frogs Compete in Athletics World Cup

LONDON - Several Horned Frogs from the TCU track and field team competed in the Athletics World Cup in London on Saturday and Sunday, with Lorraine Ugen representing England, Ramone Bailey jumping for Jamaica, and Derrick Mokaleng running for South Africa.
Ugen took home gold in the long jump, jumping 6.86m. Ugen currently leads the world in the long jump with a jump of 7.05m from the British Championships earlier this month.
Fellow TCU alum Ramone Bailey also competed and medaled in the long jump. He jumped a season-best 8.13m and finished third.
Mokaleng competed in the men's 400m and finished second overall. The two-time All-American finished in 45.48.
