Back-to-back walks to Michael Landestoy and Johnny Rizer loaded the bases. Adam Oviedo jumped on the first pitch of the at-bat and cleared the bases with a three-run double.
Texas Tech began to inch its way back into the game in the third, picking up an unearned run without the benefit of a hit. Another run score in the fourth on a two-out double from Cameron Warren. The Red Raiders completed the comeback in the fifth, taking a 4-3 lead with two runs in the frame. Josh Jung's one-out double tied the game and Grant Little's sacrifice fly gave Tech its first lead.
The lead didn't last too long as the Frogs answered with a two-spot of its own in the bottom of the inning. After a walk to Josh Watson, A.J. Balta launched his second home run of the season over the right field fence for a 5-4 lead. Johnny Rizer's solo home run in the eighth gave the Frogs some breathing room with a 6-4 advantage.
