FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU women's tennis team concluded the 2018 regular season by securing a 4-0 victory over West Virginia on Sunday afternoon at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts in Morgantown, W. Va., to mark the Horned Frogs third straight win.

Alexis Pereira and Donika Bashota were able to finish things off with the pair recording eh 6-3 win on court two to give TCU the 1-0 lead in the match.
Control of the match by TCU continued into singles action with the top three spots getting straight-set sweeps to finish out the match. Cveticanin got off the court first with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Christina Jordan on court one followed by Bashota with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Anne-Sophie Courteau on court two. Quote from the Match
Head Coach Lee Taylor Walker
"We are one step closer to what we are preparing for. The team looked sharp in doubles and then a little tired toward the end of singles. It will be nice to get home tonight, rest and practice a few days before leaving for the conference tournament on Wednesday. We know we have West Virginia again on Thursday and because some of the matches were competitive we will need to be alert and ready. Aleksa (Cveticanin) was the most focused today and only dropped four games combined in singles and doubles. Marie (Norris) and Donika (Bashota) also played some very confident tennis. We've played a very tough schedule and it was definitely the toughest since I've been here. Now is the time we use it to our advantage. There's nothing we haven't seen. We've played the best and we've been in position to beat the best and come up just short. Now is the time we put it all together and have a run at the Big 12 Championship."
