FORT WORTH, Texas – Seven TCU equestrian student-athletes earned American Paint Horse Association NCEA Academic Honor Roll selections, the NCEA announced on Tuesday.
Seniors Elizabeth Bohn and Conner West, juniors Marah Huston, Kassi Jones and Jada Taylor, and sophomores Emma Edwards and Courtney May all were recognized for their success in the classroom. To be named NCEA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
These honors come in addition to the 12 student-athletes that were named NCEA All-Academic First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention last week. Those awards have GPA and participation requirements.
The Academic Honor Roll selection is the third of the career for Taylor and West. It is the second for Bohn and the first for the other four honorees.
The Frogs return to action next week when they open play at the NCEA National Championship meet in Waco, Texas, on Wednesday, April 18. TCU is the No. 6 seed in the team bracket and will also compete for a national title in all four event brackets.
