Bruner's 1-under-par 71 has her tied for second individually with a 4-under 140 through 36 holes. She is only one stroke off the pace of 139 set by Oklahoma State's Emma Broze.
Bruner posted three birdies in a four-hole stretch on the front nine and four birdies on the day.
For the second straight day, a pair of Horned Frogs carded eagles as TCU shot a 2-under 286. With a 1-under 575 overall, the Horned Frogs are just six strokes off the lead held by No. 17 Oklahoma State.
Annika Clark, for the second straight day, and Brooke McDougald carded eagles for TCU.
Clark has tied TCU's season record for eagles with four. The mark is also shared by Rachel Raastad (2009-10) and Brooke Beeler (2010-11). Clark's six career eagles place fourth on TCU's all-time list.
A junior from Highlands, Texas, Clark closed her round with birdies on her final two holes and had three birdies on the day.
McDougald recorded a season-best round of 1-under 71. Her eagle came on the par 5, 470-yard fifth hole. She added three birdies on the day.
Grace Do's 2-under 70 equaled her career-low round, set originally over the final 18 holes at the Battle at the Beach. She began her day with a birdie on her opening hole and totaled four of her team-best five birdies on the front nine. The Coppell, Texas, native is tied for 12th individually with her 1-under 143.
Emmy Martin closed play with birdies on two of her final seven holes.
