Bruner's 69 Keys TCU's Strong Opening Round

The duo of Bruner and Clark marked the first time in TCU history for two different players to have an eagle in the same round.
The Horned Frogs are at 1-over 289, just five strokes behind leader and No. 14 Washington (284).
"I'm proud of our process and relaxed state today," TCU women's golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We had fun and made a lot of great shots. It was one of our best all-around days!"
Bruner posted her third career sub-70 round. She is fourth individually, just two strokes behind leader Bianca Pagdanganan of Arizona. Bruner was fourth at last week's Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz. Her eagle came on the par 5, 488-yard 14th hole. She was 3 under on the front nine, before opening the back nine with consecutive birdies and three in the opening five holes. She totaled four birdies on the day.
Clark's eagle on the par 4, 350-yard 13th hole was her third of the season and fifth of her career, moving her into a tie with All-American Brooke Tull (2001-04) for fourth-most in TCU history. Clark birdied her opening hole of the day and closed the front nine with another birdie.
Grace Do and Emmy Martin posted 73s for the Horned Frogs. Do had two birdies with par on 13 holes. Martin totaled three birdies, including her opening holes on the front nine and back nine.
Brooke McDougald had four birdies, all coming in a 14-hole stretch, en route to a 74.
