FORT WORTH, Texas - A doubleheader Sunday went in the TCU women's tennis team's favor as they picked up two 4-0 victories over Texas State and UTRGV at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Horned Frogs (4-3) cruised to the doubles point in both matches as the pairings of Donika Bashota and Alexis Pereira along with Marie Norris and Stevie Kennedy both went 2-0 in doubles play.
In singles action, Bashota moved to 4-0 overall in the day with two wins to clinch the overall match victory. The senior first downed Julia Navajo-Melendez of Texas State, 6-1, 6-2, before dominating Marine Darzyan of UTRGV 6-1, 6-0. Elizabeth Tedford, Meredith Roberts, Cveticanin and Kennedy also all picked up one singles win on the day to contribute to the Frogs' two victories.
