Frogs Open Play in Hawaii in Third

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii -- After 18 holes in Hawaii, the TCU men's golf team is tied for third at the Amer Ari Invitational.
The Frogs shot 7-under 281 and are tied with No. 14 Texas Tech and No. 3 Georgia Tech. No. 16 Texas leads the 18-team field at 9-under 279 followed by No. 2 Oklahoma State at 8-under 280.
Junior Stefano Mazzoli led the Frogs at the Waikoloa King' Course and ended the first round tied for seventh at 3-under 69. Juniors Pierre Mazier and Turner MacLean joined Mazzoli under par at 2-under 70 and tied for 17th.
