DALLAS – A season-high 15 points by junior guard Jaylen Fisher and a big second half by TCU gave the Frogs a 67-59 win at SMU Wednesday at Moody Coliseum.

Fisher hit a career-high five 3-pointers on eight attempts and scored 12 of his points and four of his 3-poiners in the second half. After trailing 35-29 at halftime, the Frogs (6-1) turned up the defense and outscored the Mustangs (6-4), 38-24 in the second.

SMU had its largest lead of the game, 33-23, with 2:22 to play in the first half after a 3-pointer by its leading scorer Jahmal McMurray, who finished with 19 points.

The Frogs' defense locked down in the second half, holding the Mustangs to 24 percent shooting from the field and 1-of-14 from 3-point range in the period. Dallas native JD Miller scored 12 of his season-high 15 points in the second half including a big dunk to put TCU up seven with 1:26 to play.

TCU trailed for most of the game until a layup by junior guard Desmond Bane gave TCU its first lead since it was 11-10 with 12:02 left in the first half. The Frogs made 9-of-11 from the field to build its first sizable lead, 58-51 lead with 6:39 to play.

TCU will face USC Friday at 8:30 p.m. CT in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Team Notes
- TCU improved to 87-106 all-time against SMU and 33-66 against SMU in Dallas. It was the Frogs' first win in Dallas since 2009 and their first winning streak in the series since 2010.
- TCU improved to 35-5 against non-conference opponents under Dixon.
- TCU held SMU to 36.1 percent shooting from the field. It's the fourth opponent that has shot below 37 percent against the Frogs.
- SMU's 59 points was the fewest by a TCU opponent this season.
- TCU shot 42.4 percent from the field and improved to 6-0 when outshooting its opponent.

Individual Notes
- Robinson recorded seven assists to give him 482 for his career, passing Jeff Jacobs (475) and Kyan Anderson (480) for third on TCU's all-time list.
- Robinson scored nine points and is five away from 1,000 for his collegiate career.
- Fisher scored a season-high 15 points. All five of his made field goals were from 3-point range, a career best.
- Kouat Noi was 2-of-7 from 3-point range. He has hit at least one 3-pointer in 21 of his last 22 games. He finished with 12 points, his third-straight game scoring in double figures.
- Freshman Kendric Davis made his first-career 3-pointer.
