TCU set a school record with its final-round score of 277
San Jose del Cabo, Mexico -- A school-record round of 277, led by Greta Bruner's 67, helped the No. 25 TCU women's golf team to a second-place finish Sunday at the Battle at the Beach.
The Horned Frogs' 7-under-par 277 marked the second time this fall to set a school mark for single-round score. TCU had a 279 last month at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in San Antonio.
TCU's second-place finish at the Battle at the Beach comes after winning back-to-back team championships at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational and Jim West Challenge.
The Horned Frogs' 862, which trailed only No. 23 Auburn in the 17-team field, is the fourth best 54-hole score in program history.
Quote of the Day
"What a great way to cap off our fall season," TCU women's golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "These ladies are amazing in every way! They represent TCU and our prestigious program with class and character. I am so proud of who they are, for their big hearts, discipline, leadership and the fact they remain humble and hungry!"
