
Women's Swim & Dive Finishes Third in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. – The TCU swimming and diving team wrapped up competition at the TYR Fall Classic on Saturday. Behind a solid group effort, the women's team moved up to third in the team standings after starting the day in sixth.
HIGHLIGHTS
Emily Visagie had a productive day on Saturday, winning the women's 200 breast "A" Flight with a 2:18.13 mark and finishing third in the 200 IM in 2:07.25. For the second day in a row, Ally Robertson won a flight, winning the 200 IM "B" flight in 2:07.64. Nicqueline Rettberg also won her "B" flight in the 500 free, finishing in 5:03.05.
On the men's side, Dayne Odendaal won the men's 200 IM "A" flight with a mark of 1:52.58 and finished third in the men's 500 free "B" flight. In two events, TCU finished second in both flights. Brendan Barry and Joao Andrade finished second in both flights of the men's 200 back, while Ian Bennett and Hugh McPherson finished second in both flights of the men's 200 breast.
On the boards, Isabella Ashdown followed up Friday's second-place performance with another top three finish. The sophomore from Australia scored 221.80 in the women's three-meter dive.

UP NEXT
TCU's women's team will open Big 12 competition on the road at Kansas on Saturday, Oct. 27. The following weekend, both the men's and women's team will compete in a tri-meet in Dallas against SMU and Iowa State. That meet is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 2.
