SERIES HISTORY
- TCU and Kansas State are playing for just the 12th time in their history with the Horned Frogs holding a 6-5 series lead.
- Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU has split its six meetings with Kansas State. The road team has won four of the six games. The Horned Frogs are 2-1 in Manhattan with the Wildcats 2-1 in Fort Worth.
- Overall, TCU is 3-2 against Kansas State in Fort Worth and 3-3 in Manhattan.
- Prior to TCU beginning Big 12 play in 2012, the schools had not met on the gridiron since 1986.
- The first game in the series was a 45-0 K-State victory in Manhattan in 1922.
- After that initial game, the schools did not play until four consecutive seasons from 1983-86.
- A 52-45 win in Manhattan in 2015 saw TCU rally from a 35-17 halftime deficit. At the time, it equaled the largest come-from-behind win (18 points) in Gary Patterson's tenure as head coach.

- Patterson went to Pawnee Heights High School and then Dodge City Community College, before heading to Kansas State.

- Patterson has accounted for 25.2 percent (163-of674) of TCU's all-time football victories.
- Ten of TCU's 12 regular-season games are in Texas. TCU will stay in the same Fort Worth hotel for nine of its 12 contests. The Horned Frogs have only two flights this season.
- TCU is in the midst of a $100 million premium seating expansion of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Completion will be in time for the 2019 season.
- Three of TCU's losses this season are to teams ranked in the AP top 15: No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 8 Ohio State and No. 15 Texas. The Horned Frogs held second-half leads against the Buckeyes and Longhorns. TCU also led in the fourth quarter against Texas Tech and Kansas.
