Clark, a sophomore from Highlands, Texas, started her career as a Frog with an impressive freshman year and continues to improve through the 2017 season. This past weekend she tied for seventh individually, while the Horned Frogs finished sixth at the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship.
Clark, named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team, equaled a career-best finish as she posted her fourth top-10 result. She recorded a team-best four birdies Sunday, including three of her final six holes on the front nine. She totaled 12 birdies in the tournament. TCU is looking to make its 21st postseason appearance in the last 22 seasons.
Johnson, a junior from Las Vegas, Nev., took part in the team's fifth win over a top-10 ranked opponent this season and 12th-consecutive victory. The No. 9 TCU men's tennis team routed No. 7 Texas, 4-1, on its way to an outright claim on the 2017 Big 12 Conference regular season title on Saturday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth.
In his doubles match, Johnson, and partner Norrie, finished it off for the pair's sixth consecutive victory with a 6-4 win on court three to secure the doubles point for the 10th-straight match. In singles, Johnson remained undefeated as he crushed his opponent 6-3, 6-3.
The Frogs earned the No. 1 seed and a bye in the first round of the Big 12 Championship that will run from April 27-30 at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla. TCU's first match is set for 10 a.m. on Friday, April 28, against the winner of No. 4 Texas vs. No. 5 Oklahoma.
