
TCU Shines in Final Round in Dallas

DALLAS – TCU matched its best round of the season on Thursday to finish third at the Bob Sitton Invitational at TBC Four Seasons in Dallas.
The Horned Frogs shot 3-under 281 to match its low round achieved earlier this season in the opening round of the Amer Ari Invitational on Feb. 2 in Hawaii. TCU shot a 17-over 869 for the tournament. Arkansas State led the 24-team field with an even-par 852.
Senior Chelso Barrett led the way for TCU with a fifth-place finish at 1-over 214 for the tournament. Barrett had five birdies and shot 1-under 70 in the final round on Thursday. He finished eight shots back of tournament champion Zan Luka Stirn of Arkansas who shot 7-under 206.
Sophomore Turner MacLean shot 5-over 218 and tied for 17th place. Sophomore Pierre Mazier tied for 20th place, his third top 20 finish of the season, at 6-over 219.
Sophomore Stephano Mazzoli recorded seven birdies to shoot 5-under 66 on Thursday, which matched his season low. He tied for 25th place at 7-over 220 for the tournament.

- The Frogs shot 34 birdies over the three days to lead all 24 teams. TCU's 101 pars ranked 10th overall. - Mazzoli's nine birdies for the tournament ranked second overall.
