No. 10 TCU Falls Short to No. 9 NMSU

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico-- The No. 10 TCU Horned Frog equestrian team fell 9-7 to the No. 9 New Mexico State Aggies on Friday.
The Rundown
The Frogs were neck-and-neck with the Aggies in the first half of the meet, tying 2-2 in both Horsemanship and Equitation over Fences. NMSU swept Equitation on the Flat with a solid 4-0 to finish out Hunt Seat 6-2 over the Frogs.
In Equitation over Fences, Molly Peddicord and Jayme Omand earned their points for TCU with solid 84- and 85-point rides, respectively.
In Horsemanship, seniors Megan McMullen and Rylee Morgan showed out for the Purple and White, both earning their respective points. McMullen's record improves to 6-4; Morgan's improves to 6-3-1. Morgan's ride earned her the MOP accolade.
In Reining, Carley Montemuro, Carly Lombard and Brooke Boyle claimed their points on the day, helping the Frogs clinch Western with a 5-3 decision over the Aggies. Boyle was awarded the title of MOP for her 73-point ride.

The Frogs face the South Dakota State Jackrabbits today in Equitation on the Flat and in Reining; they'll face them again on Saturday to finish out the meet with Equitation over Fences and Horsemanship.
