An Italian native, Mazzoli finished in a tie for third at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate this weekend at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. Mazzoli finished strong for the Horned Frogs as he shot an even-par 72 on Sunday for a total score of 8-under 208.
The Frogs have the next few weeks to prepare to tee off in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Southern Highlands Collegiate, March 6-8.
Arantekin started off the season with three national rankings and has not disappointed. Hailing from Turkey, Arantekin started off strong this weekend with partner Olaya Garrido-Rivas, snagging a 6-4 win on court two to start action on Saturday. The senior also moved to 6-0 in dual matches with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Erin Routliffe in her first match at the No. 1 spot this season and gave TCU a 2-0 lead.
Women's tennis got their third win of the season with a 6-1 win over Alabama. TCU will hit the road for the next three straight matches as they travel to Durham, N.C., to take on Duke on Feb. 25, before returning to the state of Texas to face Texas A&M and Texas Tech on the road on Feb. 28 and March 4, respectively.
