
Baseball Season Kicks Off Friday Night

FORT WORTH - The No. 1-ranked TCU baseball team kicks off the 2017 campaign Friday night when it hosts Penn State in the start of a three game series. Friday's series opener is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.
PITCHING ROTATION
Friday: Jared Janczak vs. Sal Biasi
Saturday: Brian Howard vs. Taylor Lehman
Sunday: Nick Lodolo vs. Justin Hagenman
TCU NOTABLES
• For the first time in program history, TCU is the unanimous No. 1 team in the country. It's the second time in program history the Horned Frogs will open the season with a preseason No. 1 ranking (2012).
• TCU was also the unanimous pick by league coaches to win the Big 12, the second time (2015) its happened since the Frogs joined the league in 2012.
• Over the last three seasons, TCU leads the nation with 148 victories.
• TCU leads the nation with five preseason All-American selections (Baker, Barzilli, Feltman, Howard and Skoug).
• Over the last three seasons, TCU has produced the second-lowest combined ERA of 2.64 in the NCAA.
