
Walker Announces Fall Schedule

FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU women's tennis team is set to compete in at least 10 different tournaments throughout the fall season as announced by head coach Lee Taylor Walker on Tuesday.
The team will split up for the first weekend of action as part of the team will head to the Midland Invitational in Midland, Texas from Sept. 16-18, while the other part of the team will take part in the Duke Invitational from Sept. 16-18. The Horned Frogs will go on the road for the second straight weekend with the teams splitting between the Rice Invitational in Houston, Texas and the Little Rock Invitational in Little Rock, Ark., from Sept. 23-25.
Certain members of the team will take part in the Oklahoma Invitational to wrap-up the month of September and begin October before select players will take part in the 2016 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championship from Oct. 1-9 in Pacific Palisades, Calif. After the championships, the team will take two weeks off before embarking on the USTA/ITA Texas Regional Championships that will take place in Waco, Texas from Oct. 20-24.
The month of November kicks-off with the team taking part in either the Texas A&M Hidden Duels in College Station, Texas or the Lakewood Ranch Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., from Nov. 4-6. The final competition for the team will be the UNLV Invitational in Las Vegas, Nev., from Nov. 11-13.
TCU is coming off a year when they finished tied for second in the Big 12 and reached their 17th NCAA Tournament. The Frogs were able to record program win No. 700 last season, as the team returns seven letterwinners from a squad that posted 16 wins during the season with seven of those victories coming over ranked foes.
