
TCU Announces Addition of Noi Monday Afternoon

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU men's basketball head coach Jamie Dixon announced the addition of Kouat Noi Monday afternoon.
Noi will don the Purple and White after being a consensus three-star recruit and the No. 19 ranked player in the state of Florida by 247Sports. The 6-foot-7 forward, who originally hails from Australia and is ranked No. 7 overall in the 2016 Australian Class rankings according to AusaHoops.com, is also considered the 70th-best power forward nationally by 247. He competed this past season at Montverde Academy Prep in Montverde, Fla., where he garnered a four star ranking amongst Australian players according to AusaHoops.
Noi is considered one of the top international players in 2016. He averaged 19 points at Montverde Academy and led New South Wales Country to a silver medal at the 2014 U18 Australian Junior Championship, scoring 20 points and shooting 60 percent from the floor in the championship. Noi went on to play for the Australian U17 national team where he played an integral role in helping the squad earn a silver medal after averaging almost 10 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Noi, who was named a reserve for the Australian U19 team in 2015, averaged 19.0 points and 5.0 boards as a member of Team Asia-Pacific at the 2015 Adidas Global Nationals, which included a 27-point showing versus USA Team Lillard.
He chose TCU over interest from Arkansas, LSU, Iowa, Wake Forest, Virginia, George Washington and several others.
