
No. 9 TCU Back In The Saddle on Friday

FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 9 ranked TCU equestrian program will close out its fall schedule this weekend with meets against Delaware State and No. 3 Baylor in Waco.
The Horned Frogs will take on the Hornets on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10:00 a.m. CT and then turn right back around and face the Bears in a league tilt on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
"We always love competing with Baylor and Delaware State," said TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield. "We are hard at work in preparation for this weekend's meets."

Hancock Honored By Big 12 Conference
TCU senior Kari Hancock was honored on Wednesday as the Big 12 Conference Rider of the Month in Equitation on the Flat.
Hancock is currently 2-0-1 on the season and 1-0 overall in the discipline in the Big 12 Conference. For the month of October, the senior went 1-0, dropping Fresno State's Alex Dirickson on the road, 83-79. In her last outing, Hancock claimed MOP honors on the Flat by upending Oklahoma State's Carly Barrick, 87-66.
McMullen To Compete In Horsemanship Challenge
Senior Megan McMullen was honored last week as one of 16 collegiate riders chosen to compete at the prestigious AQHA Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge this upcoming week on Nov. 13-14.
McMullen joins Oklahoma State's Libby Collins as the lone Big 12 Conference riders set to compete in Oklahoma City as part of the Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show. The preliminary rounds will take place on Sunday, with the finals beginning this upcoming Monday.
TCU Continues Life In The Polls
After opening the season ranked No. 3 in the NCEA national team rankings, the Horned Frogs moved to No. 9 in the latest NCEA rankings. The No. 3 ranking was the highest preseason ranking in school history and topped all Big 12 Conference schools in the preseason poll. The Horned Frogs closed last spring ranked No. 2 in the NCEA.
Last Time Out
No. 7 TCU claimed two MOP accolades last Saturday afternoon, but dropped a 11-8 decision to No. 8 Oklahoma State at Turning Point Ranch. In Reining, freshman Carly Lombard remained perfect on the season with a 71-69.5 victory over Alexa Beaty. With the win, Lombard is now 4-0 on the season, including 1-0 in Big 12 action.
On the Hunt Seat side, senior Kari Hancock led the way, claiming MOP honors in Equitation on the Flat. Hancock upended Carly Barrick, 87-66.
A Closer Look Back

Scouting TCU
No. 9 TCU comes into this Friday's meet with a 2-2 overall record having lost to nationally ranked Oklahoma State in its last outing, 11-8. Against the Cowgirls, the Horned Frogs claimed two MOP honors. Earning an MOP were freshman Laska Anderson and senior Kari Hancock.
On the season, the Western program has been led by Boyle and Carley Montemuro. Boyle and Montemuro are both 2-1 on the season in Reining. Not to be outdone, newcomers Jamie Cook and Carly Lombard both sport no blemishes on their record at 3-0-1 and 4-0, respectively, while also garnering MOP accolades. Boyle leads Western with two MOP accolades.
On the Hunt Seat side, returning All-American honoree Molly Peddicord will take a 2-1 record into Delaware State in Equitation on the Flat, while Carley Barnett has posted an MOP ride in the discipline. One other notable undefeated rider includes Hancock, who has gone 2-0-1 on the Flat with an MOP. Jayme Omand has also had a nice start to her junior campaign in Equitation over Fences, riding to a 2-1 overall mark.
