
HISTORY! Soccer Earns First NCAA Berth

Nov. 7, 2016 FORT WORTH -- The 2016 TCU women's soccer program made history Monday afternoon when it was selected to the NCAA Tournament's field of 64. The Horned Frogs have been selected as one of 32 first-round host sites. TCU will welcome SEC-member, Texas A&M, Saturday night at 7 p.m.
The Horned Frogs are coming off a magical run through the Big 12 Championships, falling in overtime, 3-2, to No. 1 West Virginia. Along the way, the Frogs defeated No. 25 Kansas, 1-0, and Baylor, 3-2 in overtime. TCU went undefeated (8-0-1) in non-conference play en route to a 12-6-2 overall record this season.
Tickets for Saturday's game are available by calling 817-257-FROG or visiting gofrogs.com. Individual ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5 for TCU students with an ID and $5 for youth (ages 3-17).
The winner of Saturday's match will advance to the second round at a site to be determined and will face either USC or Eastern Washington. The second round is slated to begin Friday, Nov. 18.
The Big 12 earned six bids to the tournament. West Virginia was tabbed a No. 1 Seed, while Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech were also selected to the field.
