Swimming & Diving Drops Meet at UNT

FORT WORTH -- The TCU women's swimming and diving team fell to UNT in a dual meet in Denton on Friday by a score of 180-120.
"It was a tough loss tonight," head coach Richard Sybesma said. "North Texas had a good meet."
Senior Kristen Connolly continued her success this season by sweeping both diving events, earning first in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with scores of 298.95 and 279.67, respectively. Connolly has now recorded five first-place scores during the 2015-16 campaign.
Freshman Ally Robertson took first in the 500-yard freestyle. In her collegiate debut in this event, she clocked in at 5:04.21.
In the 100-yard butterfly, freshman Micaela Roemer logged a personal best time of 56.97, placing first. Her previous best time was 57.18, totaling an improvement of 0.21 seconds.
"This meet did serve as some hard training to prepare us for Big 12 competition coming up," said Sybesma.
