BRADENTON, Fla. - The TCU men's golf team will begin action in its 18th overall appearance at the NCAA Championship on Friday at The Concession Golf Club hosted by the University of South Florida. Coverage of the event will be aired by Golf Channel, including live coverage on June 1-3.
The 30 programs to advance to the NCAA Championship will compete in stroke play Friday through Sunday (54 holes), after which the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will be determined. A final day of 18 holes of stroke play will take place on Monday to determine the top eight teams that will advance to match play as well as the 72-hole individual champion. The team national champion will be determined by a match-play format that will consist of quarterfinals and semifinals conducted on Tuesday, followed by the finals on Wednesday.
Joining No. 23 seed TCU at the par-72, 7,483-yard course are Arizona State, Auburn, Charlotte, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, Illinois, LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, San Diego State, SMU, South Carolina, South Florida, Stanford, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech, UAB, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Washington.

The Horned Frogs advanced to the NCAA Championship after a fourth-place showing at the NCAA Washington Regional, carding a 10-under 54-hole total of 854 for their fourth-straight top-five finish and eighth overall this season.
TCU was led by a pair of sophomores, as Castagnara and Barrett both earned top-10 individual finishes in Bremerton. Castagnara paced the Frogs with a breakout performance, posting a career-best fifth-place showing at 7-under (70-68-71), while Barrett also carded three sub-par rounds to finish 10th at 4-under.
Brun is in the midst of his fourth postseason with the Frogs, including his third trip to a NCAA Championship. The Antibes, France, native has claimed four top-10 individual finishes in six NCAA events with 13 rounds of par or better in 18 total rounds.
