TCU Takes Third Place at Chambers Bay

The Horned Frogs fired a round of 11-over 291 to climb to third place on the final trip through the course that will host the 2015 U.S. Open, which marks TCU's sixth top-five showing in 10 tournaments. Local squads Washington and Seattle took to the tournament's top two spots.
Julien Brun birdied two of the final three holes on Tuesday to close play with a 2-over 72 for a fifth-place finish, marking the first top-five showing of the season and 19th of the senior's career. The Antibes, France, native has now led the Frogs in three-straight tournaments.
Fellow senior Andrew Presley also notched a top-10 finish, tying for the second-lowest round of the day with an even-par 70 for a seventh-place showing. The Fort Worth product birdied three of the last six holes to lock in his 13th round of par or better this season.
Sophomore Chelso Barrett turned in a solid round with a 3-over 73 to climb 18 spots for a 15th-place finish. The Keene, N.H., native went 1-under over the final eight holes to secure his seventh top-20 showing of the season.
Giulio Castagnara and Paul Barjon rounded out the scoring for TCU with rounds of 76 and 77, respectively.
The Frogs return to action on April 18 with the Red Raider Shootout in Lubbock, Texas.
