Four Frogs Earn All-Academic Honors

Senior Julien Brun and sophomore Giulio Castagnara were selected to the First Team while senior Andrew Presley and junior Paul Barjon earned spots on the Second Team.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests.
Brun, who earned his undergraduate degree in December, earned his third-consecutive All-Big 12 First-Team Academic honor. The Antibes, France, native has competed in eight tournaments in his final season, leading the squad with a 71.75 stroke average. Brun has paced the Horned Frogs in each of the last three events, including back-to-back top-10 finishes.
Castagnara, an economics major, joined Brun as a First-Team selection. The Pordenone, Italy, native has competed in all 10 events during the 2014-15 season, posting five top-30 showings. Castagnara has earned a 73.57 stroke average and registered nine rounds of par or better.
Barjon, a sociology major, earned his second-straight All-Big 12 Second-Team Academic selection. Barjon has earned a 72.56 stroke average in nine tournaments with 14 rounds of par or better. The Noumea Cedex, New Caledonia, product led TCU to the Desert Intercollegiate title in February, finishing second individually.
Presley also earned a Second-Team selection in his first and final season at TCU. The Fort Worth native has competed in all 10 tournaments for the Purple and White, earning a 72.67 stroke average. Presley recently earned his second top-10 finish of the season with a seventh-place showing at Chambers Bay.
The Frogs will compete in their final regular-season event on Saturday in Lubbock at the Red Raider Shootout, competing against both No. 10 Texas Tech and No. 20 New Mexico in match play.
