
Frogs Finish Fourth at Mountaineer Invitational

Udovich places third at 8-under
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – TCU had its best round in the final round of the Mountaineer Invitational on Tuesday and tied with defending national champion Oklahoma State for fourth place.
The Horned Frogs shot 11-under 277, which tied for the third-best score of the tournament, held at Pete Dye Golf Club. TCU and No. 6 ranked Oklahoma State each shot 9-under overall. Clemson (-20) won the event, which had two lightning delays on Tuesday, followed by No. 8 Texas Tech (-16) and West Virginia (-16).
Freshman Sam Udovich placed third for his fourth top 10 finish of the season. He scored 8-under 208, going under par for the fourth time as a Horned Frog following a final round score of 4-under 68. OSU's Preston Stout (-11) was the champion and Clemson's Thomas Higgins (-10) was runner-up.
Freshman Nathan Miller finished in a tie for 21st place, one spot away from his sixth top 20 finish of the season. He shot 1-over 217 following his final round score of 1-under 71.
Jack Beauchamp shot 3-over 219 and finished in a tie for 26th place. He shot even-par 72 on Tuesday.
Lewis Wright shot 4-under over the five-hole stretch of 11 through 15 to shoot 1-under 71. He finished in a tie for 35th place at 4-over 220.
Charlie Wylie shot a career-low 5-under 67 with a bogey-free round. He moved up 38 spots into a tie for 39th place with Toby Wilt at 5-over 221. Wilt was competing as an individual.
The Horned Frogs will return to action April 27-29 at the Big 12 Conference Championship held at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.
