TCU in Fourth at LSU Tiger Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. -- A 71 by Kortnie Maxoutopoulis led TCU as the Horned Frogs are fourth after Saturday's second round of the LSU Tiger Golf Classic.
TCU shot a 298, a two-stroke improvement from Friday's opening round. Sixth-ranked and host LSU leads with a 577, 13 shots ahead of Tulane.
Two Horned Frogs are in the top 10 individually. Kelly McGovern is tied for seventh, while Maxoutopoulis is tied for ninth.
Maxoutopoulis had four birdies on the front nine and a team-best seven on the day, including three of her final five holes.
McGovern eagled the par 5, 478-yard sixth hole. The sophomore from The Woodlands, Texas, birdied her opening and closing holes en route to three birdies. She is at 1-over-par 145 through 36 holes.
TCU senior Alexandra Bonetti, who carded a 75, is tied for 15th. The Paris, France, native was 2 under on the front nine, including a birdie on her opening hole.
Emmy Martin recorded a pair of birdies in posting a 79. Chaney Uhles added two birdies on the front nine.
