TCU vs. Texas A&M Postgame Quotes

TCU Coach Raegan Pebley
Opening Statement
"Offensively we did not play a very good game. Consistently we didn't move the ball enough. I think we weren't taking some shots that we needed to in rhythm. When we do that we are a much better shooting team. Shooting 18% in the first half and being down only 10 is really a testament to how really great this team can be. I know we are a better offensive team than 18% but we need to learn that we will shoot the ball when we move the ball and create open shots."
On increasing rate of shot attempts this year
"More times than not, you are going to see us with this shot attempt number. When our defense is, getting 14-15 steals a game, when we can get big defensive rebounds, when we can take care of the ball we should be able to produce high field goal percentage shots and a good number of them."
TCU Guard Donielle Breaux
On the coach getting the team to focus after slow start
"She was telling us that we were still in the game. I think as a team we have to pick it up offensively. We ran a lot of good practices these past couple days and we just didn't perform to our best ability tonight. "
On game play and potential improvements
"I give credit to A&M defensively. They are all athletic and big but, I think today we just didn't make shots. They were sagging on us a lot and we were relying on our 3-point shot probably a little bit more than we should have. We should have attacked the bigs more. "
On constant defensive changes
"Coming into the game we knew we were going to change the defense up on them a lot. I feel like it had them on their toes. They weren't always anticipating what we were going to do."
