TCU 68, McNeese State 50
Wilkerson-Greines AC
Attendance: 3,978
Head Coach Trent Johnson
Opening Statement:
"It's hard to be good all the time. It was a lot better than last time from a defensive standpoint. You have to give McNeese State a lot of credit. I have a lot of respect for them. When you look at them on tape, they are explosive and can cause problems. I don't want to go back to the past, but we had a good two days of practice. It's not about getting the message, it's about coming out and being better. We have a long way to go, but we are getting there. We are making progress.""
On being 10-0:
"All 10-0 means is you have another game and day of practice. I'm a realist here. You know who my guys' biggest fans are? My wife and my family because if we can go into Christmas with a good feeling, the Johnson family has a good Christmas. The last time they had a really, really good Christmas where their dad or husband relaxed was when we beat Kansas when I was at Nevada."
On receiving votes in both polls:
"All this ranking stuff means nothing to us. The only one who has been there is me and maybe one other assistant. The bottom line is where are you at the end of the year, and where you are when you play someone who is ranked."
