The Frogs created distance in air rifle after posting a narrow 11-point (2,301-2,290) victory over the Black Knights in smallbore. TCU topped Army 2,356-2,320 in air rifle to claim its first win of the season.
One of the most consistent shooters on the squad, Li reached the 1,170 aggregate score plateau for the seventh time in her career. It marks the 11th time she has paced the Frog shooters in aggregate.
Hannah Black's 594 in air rifle tied the personal-best she set at the 2012-13 NCAA Championships, where she competed as an individual. Black fired a 578 in smallbore to set a personal best 1,172 aggregate score.
Li joined Black as the only two shooters in the match to fire scores of 590 or better in air rifle after shooting a 591. Shooting in her first collegiate match, Mindy Miles turned in a third place finish after firing a personal-best 588.
Also making her collegiate debut was Ariana Grabowski. Used as a counter in both disciplines, also contributed a 583 in air rifle and a 579 in smallbore. She was the lone shooter in the match to fire a perfect 200 in the prone position.
Li led all shooters in smallbore after firing a 582. She was followed closely Grabowski's 579 and Black's 578. Rounding out TCU's counters in smallbore was Megan Lee's 562.
Two other newcomers set personal bests in smallbore. Nicholle Benedict fired a 575, while Barrett Ray posted a score of 561.
TCU will return to action on Sunday when it travels to West Virginia for a tilt with the Mountaineers.
