Scholar Athletes of the Month Announced

FORT WORTH - Monika Sirilova and Arnau Dachs have been selected as TCU's Scholar Athletes of the Month presented by Muscle Milk for March.
Sirilova, a junior from Spisska Nova Ves, Slovakia efforts have helped the Frogs advance to No. 35. She had a singles win, 6-3, 7-5, at No. 26 Rice along with another singles victory, 6-2, 6-2 at Baylor. The graduate student is studying to attain her masters in liberal arts.
Arnau Dachs, a sophomore from Vic, Spain has been a key contributor to the No. 36 Horned Frog's success on the court. His efforts clinched the Frogs' win over UTPA when he took care of Thomas Panoulas, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Dachs ran his season mark to 14-3 and is 25-5 overall in his first season at TCU, pushing him to No. 119 in Div. I singles rankings. Dachs is currently pursuing a degree in economics.
The women's tennis team returns to action today when they travel to SMU for a 2 p.m. matchup. TCU men's tennis returns Friday when it travels to Oklahoma State to commence Big 12 competition. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
