* TCU improved to 12-7 overall and 2-2 in Mountain West action. The 12 overall wins and two conference victories already surpassed last season's final total.
* TCU improved to 9-1 this season in games decided by six points or fewer. The only loss was a double-overtime loss at Colorado State on Jan. 14.
* The nine victories by six points or fewer is the most for TCU since 1998-99, when the squad went 10-5 in such contests.
* TCU matched a season low Wednesday by committing only nine turnovers, accomplished twice prior.
* TCU also matched a season high with six blocked shots, which the squad set previously during the Dec. 31 home loss to Tulsa.
* Hank Thorns scored a career-high 22 points, topping his previous best of 21 points, which he recorded on three different occasions. Wednesday marked the fourth 20-point effort of Thorns' career.
* Thorns led TCU in scoring for the team-leading ninth time this season.
* Thorns' shot 75.0 percent from the field (9-of-12), the second best rate for a Mountain West player this season with at least 10 field-goal attempts in a game.
* Thorns also matched a career-high with four 3-pointers Wednesday on only five attempts. He previously hit four during the Dec. 31 home loss to Tulsa.
* J.R. Cadot scored 13 points, his highest offensive output in 10 games since totaling a season-high 18 during the Dec. 6 home win over Texas Tech.
* Wednesday's game marked the third straight between TCU and Air Force decided by five points or fewer. Air Force won a pair of close decisions last season.
