
Frogs Continue Fall Action at Two Events This Weekend

FORT WORTH - Five members of TCU's women's tennis team will be in action this weekend at two different events.
Juniors Federica Denti and Molly Welsh, along with freshman Gabi Fernandez travel to the Stephen F. Austin Fall Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas. Fernandez and Welsh are seeing their first action of the fall, while Denti holds a 1-1 record in singles and an identical mark in doubles.
Freshmen Simona Parajova and Stefanie Tan both travel east this weekend to compete in qualifying for a $10,000 USTA Pro Circuit Event in Williamsburg, Va. Parajova burst onto the scene in her Horned Frog debut, advancing to the finals of The Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational on Sept. 18.
Parajova has a 4-1 mark this fall in singles play. Tan also had a strong showing in her TCU debut after advancing to the semifinal round of The Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational. Her singles record is 3-1 for the fall.
Play at the Stephen F. Austin Fall Invitational is set for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, while qualifying for the USTA $10,000 Williamsburg Pro Circuit Event is Oct. 2 and 3.
