On his team's play the last two games:
"You have to give the other teams some credit. San Diego State is the best defensive team in the league, and UNLV came in and shot the ball well tonight."
On Wednesday's effort from his team:
"I thought the second-half effort was better. I thought we played very hard, well and smart, but we just let them have too many easy baskets. We let them drive right down the middle of the floor.
"I think we played hard and were more together tonight than we have been all season. They are enjoying each other more and have been more enjoyable to coach."
On the team's consistency:
"We have to step up the toughness and get the will to win and make big plays. We made great plays tonight, but we have to get to the level of doing that consistently. "
