- TCU featured its 12th different starting lineup with guards Hank Thorns and Greg Hill and forwards Amric Fields, Garlon Green and Nikola Gacesa opening the contest. The Frogs entered the day ranked tied for ninth nationally in number of starting lineups utilized this season.
- San Diego State's 60 points matched a TCU opponent low this season set previously during a 78-60 Frog win over Wyoming on Jan. 12.
- TCU's seven turnovers tied for its second-fewest in a game this season.
- Hank Thorns led TCU in scoring for the fourth time. He also posted a game-high eight assists, the 11th time this season he has posted eight or more helpers.
- Thorns has dished out six or more assists in seven straight contests.
- Thorns played all 40 minutes, marking the second straight contest he has reached the 40-minute total.
- Greg Hill, who matched a season high with 12 points, scored in double figures for the fourth time this season.
