On Amric Fields' progress this season:
"I think his adjustment has been great. He is getting the best experience of anyone in the country. Not all freshmen get to play the minutes against the high level competition that he is getting to here. If he stays hungry and keeps working, he will be part of the foundation of this program."
On the team's mindset through its recent struggles:
"I think the mindset has been great. We had an unbelievable walkthrough before the game. I think we just get deflated when something does not go our way. It is frustrating to these guys when they go down and miss the shots they should make and the other team is making plays. It is tough."
TCU FRESHMAN FORWARD Amric Fields
On his freshman season:
"Coach (Christian) has been talking to me a lot on my frustration level when I am not scoring every night. He told me to keep working, that is how the game is and to keep practicing hard.
"Coach told me this is a growing process and that teams will single out my defense and I need to focus and play as hard as I can. I have gotten better on the rebounding part of the game, but I need to work on moving my feet and not letting them get to the bucket so easily."
