POSTGAME QUOTES
TCU 77, Lamar 72
Fort Worth, Texas (Daniel-Meyer Coliseum)
Nov. 30, 2011
Attendance: 4,263
TCU HEAD COACH Jim Christian
On playing another close game:
"We were in the same situations. I felt we were handling the ball better down the stretch. We got a couple big rebounds down the stretch and we improved.
On his impression of Lamar:
"This was a good basketball team that we played today. We are going to look back in March and say that this was a nice win."
On rebounding:
"We're averaging 21 rebounds a game and we got 26 today, which was great. (Lamar) was the No. 29 rebounding team in the country, so I think that we did really well."
On J.R. Cadot's recent play:
"I think he's been a consistent player. He got his hands on some balls, and he blocked a couple shots. We just have to get him to stay aggressive defensively. He has to adjust to that, because he's playing more minutes then he's played in the past."
On Kyan Anderson's performance:
"I thought he really did some good things. He forced some turnovers, and he put some pressure on the other team. He made some big shot. He's a confident kid, and that's what I like about him."
TCU FRESHMAN GUARD Kyan Anderson
On today's confidence in the game:
"I wanted to go in and give everything I could. The pressure doesn't get to me. I love high pressure moments, and it's fun to play in those different situations."
On his state after the first seven games of his career:
"I feel more settled. I now understand the things I need to focus on to play my game."
