* TCU improved to 3-0 for the first time in head coach Jim Christian's tenure and the first time overall since the 2007-08 season.
* The victory marked TCU's first win over an ACC opponent since a 71-70 decision against Florida State in the 2004 Corpus Christi Challenge (Nov. 28, 2004).
* Hank Thorns led TCU in scoring for the first time this year with 16 points. The total tied for the fourth-best output of his career. Thorns scored seven of TCU's final 14 points.
* Garlon Green totaled 10 points for his third consecutive double-figure scoring effort to begin the season. He has five straight performances dating back to last season.
* J.R. Cadot went a perfect 4-for-4 from the field, the 10th time in 35 career games he has not missed a shot. He scored in double figures (12) for the ninth time in the last 11 games dating back to last season.
* TCU forced Virginia into 14 first-half turnovers. The Frogs have forced at least 14 turnovers in the first half of each game this season.
* The Cavs finished the contest with 19 miscues, which led to a 21-13 advantage for TCU in points off turnovers. The Frogs have outscored opponents 83-39 in the category this season.
