Scouting Texas Tech
The Red Raiders are a more experienced group in 2011, returning all 11 starters from the 11-8-1 squad from a year ago. Sophomore Jessica Fuston and senior Taylor Lytle were both honored as members of the Preseason All-Big 12 team, while the team was picked to finish fifth in the league.
TTU enters the match with a 8-4-2 overall record after dropping a 2-0 outcome at Texas A&M Friday. The loss was the first was the Red Raiders since falling to Hofstra, 1-0, at the Red Raider Classic on Sept. 9.
TCU-TTU Series History
The Frogs boast an 11-5-2 record in the all-time series with Texas Tech, including a streak of six-straight victories from 1999-2005. The Red Raiders needed double-overtime to top TCU in the last meeting between the two programs in Fort Worth in 2009.
Help TCU Make a Difference
Fans will have a chance to give back Sunday at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. TCU Soccer is joining forces with Tarrant Area Food Bank for the Texas Tech match, asking fans that make a canned food donation at the gate and they will receive admission for $2.
