Parajova Advances to Main Draw at USTA Pro Circuit Event

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - TCU freshman Simona Parajova won her second-straight match Tuesday at the Kingsmill Resort & Spa USTA Pro Circuit event to advance through singles qualifying.
Parajova was a 6-4, 6-4 winner over Quinn Gleason to clinch a spot in the main draw of the event. It was the second-consecutive win in straight-set fashion for the Zvolen, Slovakia, native. Parajova is set to take on the tournament's No. 3 seed, Anastasia Kharchenko, on Wednesday.
In other main draw action Tuesday, TCU freshman Stefanie Tan fell victim to Mayo Hibi of Japan, 7-5, 6-2.
