TCU Head Coach Jeff Mitte
On the team:
"We've been closer to playing this kind of game for awhile, but you've got to get the result and feel like you're progressing. I thought we fought hard and had good looks down the stretch. We made some huge plays tonight, which we hadn't been making in previous games."
On the difference in the second half from the first half:
"I thought we were able to play off the dribble tonight and get to the foul line. We came into the game thinking we had to do two things, which were to get multiple people on post-ups and get to the rim. We really mixed that up pretty well. We were able to get multiple players to the basket on post-ups. Micah Garoutte gave us a boost in the first half with two really tough jump hooks. We got production when we needed it."
On Danielle Robinson:
"She's a lot easier to guard on the bench than she is on the floor. She's a great player and a great winner. I watched a lot of film on her last year and I can tell you I have a lot of respect for what she does on her basketball team. I believe she's the top point guard out there, running the show for their team. I thought we were just able to contain her enough.
On Starr Crawford:
"She was huge in the second half. Her rebounds were much better. I think defensively she gave us a big lift. We seemed a little hesitant to go with the game plan defensively in the first half and the second half we committed to it."
On Whitney Hand's return:
"We knew they could shoot the three. They have a ton of players that can shoot the basketball. Then you add Whitney Hand to the game tonight and they add arguably their best shooter. There are not many players that could sit out a year and a half and come out and put together a performance like that. She's coming off of two knee surgeries. I'm a huge Whitney Hand fan. She's a Fort Worth player that I got to know when she was a player here in the metroplex and it was good to see her back on the floor."
On Briesha Wynn:
"She's capable of being a really big defender for us. In stretches, she really gave us a burst."
On the momentum in the game:
"Emily Carter hit the big three when the score was tied, 63-63. Helena Sverrisdottir hits the big 3-point play on the out of bounds play with five seconds left on the shot clock. We didn't run that play perfect either. We were a little more crowded than I like. That's a play where Helena went stronger than she did on previous plays. That was a play she went all-in on. If we can take anything from this game, it's that we can be a pretty good team when we commit to those plays."

On the match up against Danielle Robinson:
"As the game went on she had two fouls in the first half. She caught that third foul and I could just tell she wasn't really going to guard me down there. I told Emily Carter and the girls to see if we could post her up down low because she was not willing to get her fourth."

On her back-to-back six points:
"I just wanted to step up. We were running a play where I was going to get the opportunity to shoot a three and it worked perfectly. I just wanted to step up when I had shots and make them. It was a big moment in the game and that's what I wanted to do, just step up and make them."
On this victory going into conference play:
"It means a lot. This moment going into the conference is huge for us. I think we know now what we're capable of. We needed that big win and I think this is what we needed to progress into conference."
