Horned Frogs Finish 14th Overall at PING/Golfweek Preview

STILLWATER, Okla. - The TCU men's golf team concluded its first tournament of the 2010-11 campaign with a 14th-place showing at the PING/Golfweek Preview in Stillwater, Okla., at the Karsten Creek Golf Course.
The Horned Frogs posted a three-round score of 939, including a team tally of 310 on Tuesday afternoon during the final round of competition. The host-program Oklahoma State captured the tournament crown with a score of 878 while UCLA (882), Georgia (883), Texas A&M (887) and Augusta State (887) round out the top-five at the PING/Golfweek Preview.
Pontus Gad was the Frogs' top performer as the TCU sophomore finished tied for 51st overall with a 54-hole score of 233 (74-80-79). Eli Cole collected a tournament tally of 237 (78-82-77), including a 77 in the third round of action, en route to finishing tied for 60th overall.
Scott Roudebush finished 65th overall following a 54-hole tournament score of 239 (81-78-80) while Tom Hoge posted a score of 240 (79-78-83) en route to finishing 66th overall. Daniel Jennevret - who notched his best round of 74 on Tuesday afternoon - finished 67th overall with a score of 241 (86-81-74).
The Frogs will be back in action on Oct. 10 when they travel to Palm Springs, Calif., for The Prestige at PGA West.
