Frog Women's Tennis Sets 2010-11 Schedule

FORT WORTH - TCU women's tennis coach Dave Borelli today released the 2010-11 schedule, which is again highlighted with difficult nonconference opponents.
The fall portion of the schedule kicks off Oct. 2 at the ITA/Riviera Women's All-American Championships at the Riviera Tennis Club at Pacific Palisades, Calif. The event is the premiere individual tournament of the fall.
The Horned Frogs travel to the ITA Regionals hosted by Baylor on Oct. 22-26. It will be the first of TCU's two trips to Waco, Texas during the fall.
The fall schedule closes Nov. 5-7 with any qualifiers from the ITA Regionals traveling to the ITA National Indoors in New York, while others will travel to the HEB Baylor Invitational in Waco.
TCU begins its dual schedule Jan. 22 against Texas-Pan American, before traveling to Berkeley, Calif., for the ITA Regional Indoor Championships on ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
The Frogs square off with St. Mary's, who finished last year ranked No. 39, on Jan. 28 at the ITA Regional Indoors. The winner of that match will face either North Texas or California. Both of those teams were nationally ranked at the close of the 2009-10 season.
The schedule features three matches in February against teams that finished last season nationally ranked. The Frogs are set to host Texas A&M on Feb. 12, SMU on Feb. 23 and Washington on Feb. 25.
TCU has five matches on its schedule for March before beginning Mountain West Conference play. The Frogs host Oklahoma on March 5, Wake Forest on March 7 and Miami (Fla.) on March 12. Each of those three teams was ranked a year ago, including Miami with a No. 10 ranking.
Other March dates include trips to Rice on March 20 and to UT-Arlington on March 23.
The MWC schedule kicks off at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center when BYU visits on April 1. The rest of the weekend includes home matches against Utah on April 2 and New Mexico on April 3.
The Frogs travel to Albuquerque, N.M., the following weekend to face UNLV on April 9 and San Diego State on April 10.
The regular season schedule closes with a weekend at Colorado Springs, Colo., to square off with Colorado State on April 15, Wyoming on April 16 and Air Force on April 17.
TCU will look to defend its MWC Tournament title at the MWC Championships in Fort Collins, Colo., on April 27-30.
